Wow. When heavens end really surprised me when I loaded it up. The design is the tried and tested one multi-level atrium, with smaller corridors and rooms coming off it. The textures are a mixture of Ikbase and jackboot and the two go together really well, creating a run down area further enhanced by blood stains on the walls and dents and chinks in floors and ceilings.
Gameplay is fast and hectic with connections made by teleporters and lifts. The main atrium is a deadly place to be, as is the reda rmour room (which I really likes btw) as people are always in there getting weapons and armour respectively. One niggle is that apart from the bigger rooms the map is just a maze of corridors that look the same and you can get quite lost if you are not paying attention.
Weapons are placed very well and with two rocket launchers and lots of ammo it doesn't take long to get equipped and into the battle. Armour is placed well and the red armour room is especially deadly as it is suspended over lava, a great touch. Another thing I liked was the megahealth possitioning, right in the center of a pool of water where the sounds ques will give you away...
This is one fast DM map and is enjoyable from start to finsih, once you learn the layout the at-first maze like series of corridors becomes a breeze to navigate. Not that you will live that long anyways :)
